How to Check Your GCSE Results Online in 2026
There are four ways to access your GCSE results on Results Day 2026 (Thursday 20 August). The fastest is going to school at 8:00am; the most convenient is the Education Record App from 11:00am.
⚠️ Important: Results are released to schools at 8:00am. The Education Record App opens at 11:00am. If you want results as early as possible, go to your school from 8:00am.
Method 1 — Education Record App (Recommended)
The Education Record App is a government digital tool that allows students to view their GCSE results online. It was trialled with 95,000 students in 2025 and is expected to be available more widely in 2026.
Go to the Education Record App
Visit gov.uk/education-record or search for "Education Record App" in your app store.
Log in with your credentials
Use your school email or Government Gateway account to sign in.
Access results from 11:00am
Results become available at 11:00am on Thursday 20 August 2026.
Download your results
Take a screenshot or download your results slip for your records.
Method 2 — Your School's Online Portal
Most schools email login details before results day. Common school portals include:
- SIMS Parent App — used by many state schools
- Bromcom — used by academy trusts
- Arbor — used by MATs and free schools
- SchoolCloud — some schools use for results distribution
Check your email from your school for login instructions. If you have not received anything by mid-August, contact your school office.
Method 3 — Exam Board Portals
Some exam boards allow individual students to access results through their own portals, depending on how your school is set up:

If none of the above methods work, call or WhatsApp your school office. Most schools have results available from 8:00am for in-person collection, and staff can help you access your grades over the phone if needed.
